Ranchi: Reinforcing its commitment to environmental conservation and the legacy of India’s freedom movement, the Sharda Foundation organized a large-scale tree plantation drive at the Brahma Kumaris Centre, Nava Toli, Pithoria (Kanke), Ranchi. A total of 200 saplings were planted in tribute to the brave sons of Jharkhand who dedicated their lives to the nation’s freedom and progress.
The plantation campaign was conducted as a mark of respect to the state’s legendary freedom fighters and tribal heroes whose courage and sacrifices continue to inspire generations. Each tree symbolized remembrance, gratitude, and a commitment to preserving both the nation’s heritage and its environment.
Saplings were dedicated in the names of renowned freedom fighters and social reformers, including Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Pandey Ganpat Rai, Nilamber-Pitamber, Telanga Kharia, Jatra Tana Bhagat, Budhu Bhagat, and several other illustrious heroes of Jharkhand.
Speaking on the occasion, members of the Sharda Foundation emphasized that tree plantation is not only an environmental responsibility but also a meaningful way to honour the sacrifices of those who fought for the country’s freedom. They encouraged citizens, especially the younger generation, to actively participate in protecting nature while remembering the invaluable contributions of the nation’s heroes.
The programme was graced by Rajmati Behen, Head of the Brahma Kumaris Ashram, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. She appreciated the Foundation’s initiative and highlighted the importance of combining environmental stewardship with the preservation of India’s rich historical and cultural legacy.
Through this initiative, Sharda Foundation reaffirmed its dedication to environmental sustainability, community welfare, and paying tribute to the courageous freedom fighters whose sacrifices continue to inspire a stronger and greener India.
